Eveline Herben

Eveline Herben is since 2023 an independent advisor in public affairs for the horticultural sector and representing in that role Kekkilä-BVB and Growing Media Europe.  Eveline has worked for 13 years in EU public affairs for the Dutch Flower Auctions. In that capacity she chaired the Working Party Flowers & Plants of Copa Cogeca, representing the EU ornamental sector. Here the topic of substrates from a producer’s point of view was prominently on the agenda. Prior to that Eveline worked 15 years as an advisor media concepts, executive producer and head of research for television production companies in the Netherlands producing informative television programs for national television.

Eveline Herben holds a master degree in law of the University of Amsterdam with a specialization in tax law. From 1989 till 1993 she started her career with EY in the Netherlands as an advisor at the international tax department and later at the scientific department.

She is passionate about the innovative horticultural sector and dedicated to create awareness with government officials and politicians to make well informed decisions based on science and facts taking into account the reality of the business as well as creating awareness in the sector to adapt to developments in society, in policies and legislation.
