The Alusta Pavilion, a year later

Back in May 2022, our brand Kekkilä Garden supported the construction of the Alusta Pavilion, and last week our colleague Jani-Petteri Tammi walked by to take new pictures of how beautifully it has grown.

Designed by Maiju Suomi and Elina Koivisto, the pavilion prioritizes ecological practices with clay, wood, and greenery, providing spaces for people, plants, and insects. Fungi and composters contribute to the natural cycle, creating homes and sustenance for insects. It enhances urban diversity and emphasizes the importance of soil organisms.

The Alusta Pavilion is located at the Architecture and Design Museum courtyard in Helsinki and is worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood!
