Wood fibre in our growing media
Wood fibre for our substrates is a renewable raw material. It comes from circular, European sources. It is available throughout the year, and its quality is not influenced by weather conditions. Thanks to its low bulk density environmental impact of transportation is relatively low.
We use only wood fibre of the best quality
Our wood fibre is a renewable material produced from pure hardwood material. We only use the pure log wood from spruce trees to create the wood fibre for our products. As a result our substrates are free of lumps and impurities.
Growing media with wood fibre generally perform better increasing airiness and adding stability thanks to the strong fibre structure. It also helps in reducing shrinkage after potting and top-layer in pot dries up more quickly, preventing issues like mold or algae. Re-wetting growing media is easy with wood fibre because of a more even water distribution and drainage, even if the substrate accidentally gets too dry it does not get hydrophobic. Better and faster rooting enable to grow stronger plants.
Our wood fibre is uniform, high-quality material. It is steam treated to make it entirely safe and clean and it’s RHP certified.
